Relaxin wreaking havoc! Jaw pain :(

Has anyone else experienced jaw pain or TMJ while pregnant? I've been having problems with my back and pelvis and joints but about a week ago it felt like the left side of my jaw popped out when I yawned and it is still sore. Does anyone know what I can do to help this? Exercises or something?

I have one of those, because I DO grind my teeth really bad at night and wake up with horrible headaches. I got mine at Target? Walmart? (I forget) for something like $20 and it worked really good.

Thanks girls!! It has been driving me crazy the last week. Everytime I yawn, and with some foods, it feels like it could dislocate.

FYI, did some research online and they say you can get a mouth guard to wear at night (sometimes people who have this also grind their teeth at night). A prescription one is very $$$ but I've heard you can buy a cheap one at the pharmacy and heat it up and put it in your mouth so it conforms to your mouth shape.

OMG yes.... my jaw feels like it is gonna come out of joint! I thought I was the only one. I told my hubby and he looked at me like I was some kind of weirdo! There is nothing much you can do about it, just have to suffer.. but just know your not alone in your pain xx

I had bad back pain while pregnant, but mine was due to a resulting injury my father gave me when I was younger.

I don't think there's too much that will actually help your pain. You can try heat/cold to see if that will help, but for some it won't do anything. Definitely talk to your doctor about it to see what they suggest (if anything) and try not to overwork the area.

I'm sorry I wasn't too much help! I do hope you feel better soon though.
