well the sciatic nerve is actually what causes restless leg syndrome..you could try a chirpractor or a holistic physician...they should be able to provide some relief. If not....maybe potassium or tylenol pm will help. Good luck!

Tell me about it. That and the sciatica! I can barely walk on my left leg the past two weeks. It makes me hobble more than normal. I am walking like I am full term and Im only 6 months. Wow, time flies. I remember January 9th when I first found out I was pregnant. Crazy!!! I dont want this pregnancy to go too fast. This is my last baby, and I am enjoying being pregnant. I am sure Ill be miserably hot in July and August, but I really am enjoying this whole thing. Even the hobble! Lol!!! I will try the Tylenol PM. My problem is it hits early evening when we are relaxing, not in bed. Also does it at work in my chair and in the car. But not at bedtime. Weird huh?

Tylenol PM works for mine!!  I had it soo bad that I would be up until 3 or 4 in the morning trying to get comfortable and the only thing that helped was taking a bath. Well, after almost two weeks of just dozing in the bath tub for an hour at a time my grandmother told me she uses Tylenol PM for hers. I called my doc and they said that it was safe during pregnancy.

RLS is NO joke!! I think it is the worst pregnancy symptom that I have delt with thus far!!

Good luck!!

Thats right, I have read something about the bananas and potassium. I will get some and see if it helps. Ive had it twice today alone. It gets very frustrating. But then anything we cant control is frustrating, isnt it?LOL!!

Yah it is! Mine do it when I am sitting on the couch watching movies, when I am at my desk, and when I lay down at night too. Its really off and on and never happens the same time or consistently by any means. Just whenever they decide they want to start "freakin out" on me. Its like an uncontrollable twitch. Ugh!!!

I've haven't found anything other than trying to stretch the leg muscles really good....it usually happens to me at bedtime...very very annoying.

I will google it and see if I can find anything and Ill let ya know. There has to be something besides the medications they make for it that can help. The meds are not okay to take while pregnant from what I was told.
