Restless Legs Syndrome

Does anyone here have or ever had restless legs while pregnant. I almost cannot believe I have it but I do. At night, I feel like my skin is crawling in both my arms and legs. It doesn't happen until I am in bed and falling asleep. Does anyone know if there is anything I can take for this? I talked to my dr and he said he didn't know what I was talking about?

Also, I have been very depressed, like very..very depressed. I cry over everything and this has been going on since before I got pregnant, but it has gotten much worst since I have been pregnant. I am going on 4 months. Is there anything I can do about this or anything such as a vitamin I can take. Like st johns wort or anything that won't hurt the baby? Has anyone here ever had any sort of anti-depressent while pregnant.

Any responses would be appreciated.

Hi, i cant believe your Dr doesnt know what you are talking about when you say you have restless leg syndrome. I know exactly what you mean im going on week 39 and i have had restless leg syndrome since around month 5. Thankfully its a not a bad case and it happens when im really tired...so im usually able to fall asleep. i do not think that you can take anything for it though. Try sleeping with a pillow between your legs it helps me a little.

As for depression i hear some Dr's will allow you to take 50mg of zoloft...zoloft is not a very strong anti depressent but it does work. There was actually a post on here a few days ago regarding taking zoloft (im sure you can find the thread) and there are people who do take zoloft with there dr's permission. i would definitely give it a try as being depressed is the worst feeling in the world and not good for your baby either. i wish you a lot of luck feel good :)
