Your blood type cannot change on its own. The only way for this to happen is if you have a bone marrow transplant and the donor is with a different blood type. Something else that could happen is to get the wrong result from the lab giving you an incorrect blood type but I don't know how often this happens. In any case, a woman can be at higher risk for miscarriages for a number of reasons, and being Rh negative is only one of those.
Blood type cannot change, everyone is born and will die with the same blood type. The Rh- can cause problems if untreated after carrying a Rh+ child, but I am on my third pregnancy and have experienced no problems at all due to my blood type.
Someone who is rh+ would not have any problems carrying a Rh- baby, O Rh- is the universal blood donor type, meaning that we can donate blood to any other blood group, however we can only recieve blood from O Rh- and I think one other (been too long since university!)
