SONOGRAM and Disney Princesses on Ice
My sonogram was today to see what the heck is going on with my body. No endometriosis. All he said was, "Your ovaries look 'plump' and there are a few follicles on them. Other than that I'm not completely convinced it is PCOS." Then he went on to tell me that PCOS isn't just a cut and dry thing, there are many factors, etc. leaving me more confused. But he did say that sometimes our systems just need to adjust and that's probably what mine is doing.
Great. I expect like a $500 bill soon.
Anyway, on a lighter note, Disney Princesses on Ice is coming to town and I want to take my toddler so bad!!! Every time she sees the commercial, her eyes light up and she turns to me and says in her little munchkin voice, "Mama, that's for me! For my bur-day!!!" Then I have to remind her that her bday isn't until the summer. Children's Orchard is having a drawing to get FOUR tickets to the show so I might go enter the drawing tonight. CO is a consignment store.
Great. I expect like a $500 bill soon.

YOU SEE I DONT LOOK AT THE PEOPLE SINGING THE SONGS .I JUST LISTEN TO THEIR MUSIC. BECAUSE PEOPLE WILL FAIL YOU. THE WORDS TO THEIR SONGS NEVER WILL. I TEACH MY CHILDREN NOT TO LOOK UP TO ANYONE, PUT NO ONE HIGHER THAN GOD. I COULDNT TELL YOU ANY OF THEIR NAMES JUST THEIR SONGS AND THE MEANING BEHIND THEM IS WHAT I LISTEN FOR. I AM GLAD THEY ARE GREAT PEOPLE GOD WILL BLESS THEM FOR IT. BUT SOMETIMES PRIDE DOES GET IN THE WAY. AND THATS A SCARY THING WITH GOD HE CAN EASY TAKE IT ALL AWAY.. I LIKE THAT SONG TOO I THINK ITS CALLED SET ME FREE BUT IM NOT SURE. I CANT WAIT TO GO TO THERE CONCERT, I KNOW I WILL HAVE TO TAKE A BOX OF TISSUES THOUGH..
Oh and what else amazes me about Casting Crowns is that they were youth leaders. Well, I know the lead singer was a youth leader (I'm not sure if the other bands guys were too). And the reason this amazes me is because my hubby is a youth leader right now, trying to get the message God has given him out, trying to make a record, etc. So it is so cool to see how their lives sort of parallel.
The thing about Third Day, that I've witnessed at least, is that they always give glory to God. I don't know what happened at that concert, but in the many things I've seen they've always been humble. But pride can easily sneak into things. I don't want to make assumptions either. Maybe they were just having a spiritually oppressive night! Mac Powell is an awesome worship leader.

Casting Crowns is SO amazing, too, because of their humility. They did a benefit concert in my hometown to help raise money for a Pro-Life organization up there. My sister got to go because her FIL was on the committee and she got to meet the band. She said they were so wonderful, polite, etc.
Okay, what is song #6 on Lifesong? I absolutely love that song. The lyrics are like, "It hasn't always been this way. I remember brighter days. Until the dark one came. Stole my mind, wrapped my soul in chains. Now I live among the dead, fighting voices in my head. Hoping someone hears me crying in the night and carries me away. Set me free, from the chains holding me..." etc., etc. Now THAT song is awesome. I get goosebumps when I envision the entire song.

i like 3rd day too. my favorite is cry out to Jesus. i saw the video and just cried thru the entire song.. My favorite song of casting crowns is praise you in this storm. after my mc i would just set and listen to that song and cry my eyes out . i am so glad that God gives us this music to help us thru hard times.. he is such a loving God and i am so blessed but so unworthy of it all...

Thats awesome....I always wanted to do something like that. Well honestly when I was at the Third Day concert it felt like I was at a secular concert. It just didn't feel like they were doing it to glorify God. The tickets were $30 each which I thought was insane and one of the opening bands lead singer was sick and he told us "I have been warming up my voice for the past 6hours for you guys b/c y'all deserve the best" I was like ....isn't he supposed to be singing for God..not us? I'm not trying to be judgmental but that was seriously pretty much all that was mentioned about God the entire time. As where if you have ever been to a Todd Agnew concert it is an amazing experience. I have been to 2 of them and I think one was $10 and the other was Free. The Free one actually was the most amazing concert EVER... and it was Just Todd and his band, no light and smoke show to spruce it up like the Third Day one.

That stinks that Third Day wasn't good. We listen to a lot of Third Day. His voice is very different, but the message his songs give are just timeless. I LOVE Todd Agnew as well. I think I met Shane and Shane on the side of the road once, before they became famous. At least I think that's what the band name was? It was some Christian band.
Why was I on the side of the road? During my DTS (Discipleship Training School), we were on a missions trip. And our dean of students left us on the side of the road, in the middle of nowhere, in a different state with a huge cross. It was made out of huge, heavy planks. We walked back to our campsite carrying the cross and talking to people, giving out tracts. Shane and Shane drove by, stopped, pulled over and I started freaking out.
I thought these guys were like going to kill us, cuss us out, all because of the cross. But it turned out to be Christian musicians, so that was cool. They weren't in a tour bus, they were just in this little sedan. Having the cross was definitely a great prop (even though it was heavy) for all of us to get people to talk with us. We prayed with a few people, one woman was near tears. It was like a beacon, and a reminder. Pretty cool stuff!

My mom took my son and by brothers daughter to Disney Princess On Ice a few months ago and they both loved it. My son is 3 and got a little restless the second 1/2 and my brothers daughter is 8 and was very content the whole time. Here everyone dresses up in their cute dresses so they did too and my son wore dress pants and a tie. We just went to our 2nd third day concert and I must say I was VERY disappointed b/c I usually like them. I also love casting crowns but Todd Agnew is mine and my husbands very favorite. I like Shane and Shane but hubby doesn't care for them.
I LOVE CASTING CROWNS! I listen to Lifesong CD every single day. OMG! It's like most of their songs are about my life. Like "Can Anybody Hear Her?" All I listen to is praise/worship and Christian Rock. I love KLOVE, do you listen to that too?
We took my 4 year old to see Nemo on Ice - it was cool, but actually had some scarey parts and she freaked out. Hope the princesses are awesome!!! Hope your body adjusts fast!!
i took my daughter to princesses on ice a few years ago. she drew a picture of a princess and we sent it in to a radio station. and to my surprise she won 4 tickets. she loved it and so did my son who was 2 at the time... i just took her for her 10th bd to high school musical on ice. i bought them in march and the concert was in sept. her bd was in april . she didnt mine to wait.. she loved it too. and in april 08 we are going to the casting crown concert.. we all love them.. does any one else like them!
Nah, you're totally fine with asking. It is a disorder: Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. Meaning your ovaries are producing insulin wrong and causes your hormones to go crazy!!!

So cute! Give that baby an early "bur-day" present. The shows are more for the Mamas anyway, you know you wanna go! LOL
