Hello I am a ftm and I am suffering really bad with SPD/PGD my midwife is really concerned about me she made me an emergency consultancy appointment at the hospital and they basically told me to put up with the pain because there is nothing they can do for me!! I left the hospital and cried I've never been in so much pain! I can't do anything I used to be able to do I am completely dependent on my partner and family members because I find it that hard and painful to even walk about. Has anyone got any tips on how to deal with the pain? Because it feels like I'm getting no where with the healthcare professionals.  I'm 34 weeks!

Thank you ladies! I know not long now! I just hate being dependent on my partner and family ive always been very independent. Just feels like I've been told we've got to suffer with it! I'm using the pillow and it's not helping any just my luck..hopefully these last few weeks will fly by and my beautiful girl will be in my arms :)

Don't:

Don't move your legs apart - for example when getting in and out of a car (keep your knees together and sit down first, then swing your legs in together. When you get out of the car do the opposite. If this still proves difficult you could buy a swivel cushion or try to sit on a plastic bag which will help you to slide easier

Swimm doing breaststroke

Carry heavy weights - if you can't avoid carrying (like the baby carrier) cradle it in both arms and keep it close to your body.

Twist your body

DO

Use a Knee Pillow between knees when lying

Try a comfy coccyx cushion

Write a birth plan

See an occupational therapist who can provide equipment and advice to make your life easier.

I'm sorry you are so uncomfortable! Just remember; it WILL pass. And you will have a beautiful baby!!!

I'm in pain a lot from my very active job. After I get off work my best friend is my heating pad set to low. It may help. I hope everything turns out ok!
