STUPID ******* DOCTORS!!!

My doctor told me that taking hot baths or showers wasnt bad at all.  Turns out it can cause birth defects.  I have been taking hot baths and showers every day, but now that I know im going to stop doing that.

I'm 9 weeks, will my baby be okay if I dont do it anymore?

It depends on exactly how hot the bath is. I used to have extremely hot baths. So hot that my partner couldn't even put his hand in the water. Since pregnancy I have my bath even cooler than my partner.
If you are getting out and your skin is red or pink then it is too hot. Also the problem with a hot shower is that you could become overheated and pass out, causing injury to yourself and possibly harming your baby

Use a thermometer. Just make sure your body temperature doesn't go over 99 degrees, and your baby should be fine. If you get too hot, get out of the water.

No.  I take hot hot baths, like maybe hotter than hot tubs.

Your doctor is correct, but technically so are you. The danger is in a very hot body of water, like a hot tub for example, for extended periods of time. But taking a hot shower or bath isn't really so dangerous. The temperatures aren't really that high and your not in it as long.

Your baby is fine. Relax and enjoy your pregnancy, and your baths if you feel comfortable. If not, taking cooler showers and baths certainly won't hurt if your worried.
