Santa Barbara or San Diego?

I'm currently living in San Diego right outside Camp Pendleton and I get my prenatal care on base and my doctor asked me if I wanted to have my babg here or in Santa Barbara. I was stumped when she asked this because I truly didn't know. I want to have the baby here because my doctor is here and she'll know all about my pregnancy when the time comes to have the baby. I'm working with an anesthesiologist because the last time I got my c-section the local anesthetic didn't work and I had to be completely put under so that's another reason I'd like to stay, plus I know I'll need to rest and take it easy after the c-section and I'll be able to do that better here in SD. However I would like to go to SB because all my family is there and it's where I grew up and had my first child. I have family I can stay with and I know they'll help with the baby a lot while were there. Anyone have any suggestions?

@Msmartinez91 It's not cause I grew up there it's just I know they provide very good care at Sb cottage hospital an. Idk what it's like up here. I worded that wrong.

@shiniesshoes that's good to know. I'm nervous about the care since all I've hone there for is appointments.

I didn't have my baby there but I always had good experiences at Naval Hospital Pendleton. My husband had surgery there on his arm and they did excellent! I'm so jealous btw we live in Beaufort SC now. I miss Cali alot.

Personally I'd stay in SD. Medical history and Dr should override where I grew up and had my child. Yes they can fax your paperwork over but maybe the quality of care will be different.
