Scared I hurt the baby when i Bent down....

Ok this may be a pretty stupid question but I am worrying. Last night my hubby's grandmother was sitting down on the floor (she likes sitting on the floor then the couch...dont ask me why). I was going to sleep so i bent my upper body down and put my head down to kiss her goodnite. Well I sprang back up becuase I got this huge sharp pain in my belly. I am not used to having a belly so I forget the I can't bend like i used to. I am scared I hurt the baby and my belly is still kinda bothering me today but my mind tends to play tricks on me to. The baby was moving last night afterwards but I am still scared. Is this all in my head or did I hurt my baby? How am I supposed to bend down now?

Thanks!!

I do this ALL the time!!! I forget I can't bend over and I get that same sharp pain (literally takes the breath out of you). You only hurt yourself. Baby is safe.

I agree, you likely hurt yourself and not the baby. I have to spread my legs in order to bend down, lol and I'm only 18 weeks.

You probably just hurt yourself. I always feel like I'm going to break one of my own ribs if I bend over. It's always better to squat and bend from the knees.

Try bending at the knees and keeping your back straight.

Dont worry!  You are not going to hurt your baby by bending over!
