Scared for my baby.

Yesterday my doctor told me my cervix is 1.2 cm short and its supposed to be 3cm at this point. She put me on meds starting monday to stop it from getting any shorter so that I wont dialate and my water wont break early. Im only 26 weeks and Im freaking out... Will my baby be okay?? They said he may come early and I may have to get a C-section which isnt what I want at all :(

Its great hearing from two people that have experienced the same as me. I am starting mines on Monday so Im trying to not stress and get all the rest I need. Thanks ladies!!

I currently have an ultrasound every week to monitor the length of my cervix (I've already had 1 preterm baby at 27weeks) I'm also on progesterone pessary and every week the length of my cervix fluctuates. Definitely try to rest as much as you can, it makes a big difference.

I was at 1.7cm  at 26weeks. They put me on progesterone to take vaginally and the very next week I went up to 2.8cm. I'm giving you that so hopefully you won't worry as much. Just take it easy and relax. no stressing. Everything is gonna be alright.

That happened to me, and i didnt go into labor until 3 days after my due date. Try not to worry too much :) just take good care of yourself and put your feet up and rest as much as you can

Relax. Stress will only make things worse. I had a similar thing happen to me at 27 weeks. I spent 4 days in the hospital and on several meds. By the time I left, I was doing so much better and by my next appt. my Dr informed me that my cervix was back to normal. They told me I might have my son early, but thank God i didn't. I'm due in 4 days and everything is looking good! Don't stress and just do as they tell you! Wishing you the best!

I seen stuff on YouTube where a baby was born at 15weeks and lived which is a real blessing.

I will just pray but even if he came early he will make it and just pray the baby can hold on for a little while longer. Even at 26weeks he will be ok.

Keep calm. Worrying so much will only put more stress on you and baby.. Just take care of yourself and do everything doctor says to do.
