Questions about Zofran

I am currently 26 weeks pregnant. I'm currently taking Zofran because I can't keep anything down as far as food. After reading a few post in this group. I hav heard about people using Zofran and there babies coming out with defects or women having miscarriages.... feedback and experiences PLEASE

My OB wouldn't prescribe it to me AT ALL. He actually prescribed me Declegis.

Zofran was recalled due to causing cleft lip in children as a birth defect. They may have revised the medicine since then. Definitely call your Dr and discuss the side effects of taking the medicine. It should also come with an insert with a list of side effects and warning label

I took zofran with my son and he was perfectly healthy. Everybody is different talk to your Dr about your concerns that's always the best thing to do

I have a perfectly healthy 20mo i Took zofran from week 4 till week 30.

Defects are noted of the recommended max dose has been breached.
No more than 32 mg in a 24 hour period.

There has been studies proving the benefits outweigh the negatives and lawsuits that have been debunked proving that it's safe and doesn't cause birth defects.

Hyperemesis is a very serious complication and if you're looking for support there's a fantastic group on Facebook called Hyperemesis gravidarum (HG)
