Should I Be Worried?

At my last Dr's appointment I was scheduled for weekly stress test until it's time for me to give birth (Due date: June 2nd) I was told that if my son doesn't move at least 8 times in an hour that I should go to the hospital immediately.. My son moves about 8 to 10 times an hour but doesn't there movements decrease as we get near our due date? I just don't understand the purpose of the stress test. Every baby is different some moves a lot and others move less

I've had weekly NST's (stress test) since 34 weeks. Currently at the end of 36 weeks. I was told the purpose is to monitor the babies heartbeat and movement. They look to ensure the babies heartbeat increases during times of movement. Drink some OJ before your appt. Your baby will wake up and move from the sugar.

Their movements shouldn't decrease that much.
