Signs/symptoms of preeclampsia??? c

Other then high blood pressure what are the symptoms?? Im 28 weeks and today several times ive had like the little starburst in my vision.  My feet and ankles have been swelling for WEEKS, today is also the first time I've had a headache in months. At every one of my dr appointments my bp has been normal. Am I freaking over nothing??? Any yhoughts or input would be greatly apoteciated!!! Thanks ladies!!

If u had preeclampsia in a previous pregnancy, ur chances of having it with this pregnancy increase. With preeclampsia u have protein in ur urine, increased BP, headaches, spots flashing before ur eyes. I just delivered at 32 weeks due to preeclampsia. When I went to my prenatal visits,my BP was normal. I was also seeing a neonatologist because my baby girl was small, every time I saw the specialist my BP was up. I did a 24 hour urine collection, and I had protein in my urine. Was admitted, protein/BP continued to increase but I had no other s/s. After being in the hospital for several days with BP still high, my liver enzymes started to increase(the preeclampsia was getting worse). At that point the specialist decided to do a c section because it was no longer healthy for me or my baby girl. She was delivered 4-22-12 and weighed 2#13oz(she was small due to the preeclampsia)other than being small, she is doing GREAT. So get that checked out.

With my first I had a super easy pregnancy, like didn't even feel pregnant until he'd kick the crap outta me!! With this one it's total opposite, and I today I would deff say my bp was up, got to work today and had a flat tire on my car 10 min later :/ not to mention all the bull crap I've been dealing with at work!!

The sugar issue doesn't necessarily mean gd.  It can just be a little jump or dip in your sugar.  Also fluxes in your bp as you go about your day can cause the flashes/head aches, but it doesn't necessarily mean you have preeclampsia.

Well I had my GD test 2 weeks ago and passed. I havent noticec extreme swelling in my hands, but they are bigger( had to find replacement wedding rings 2 weeks ago)

Btw I had pre eclampsia my last pregnancy so I know the fun of it :-P.

Yep, protien in your urine (checked every ob visit), elevated b/p, swelling especially to the hands and face, flashes/black spots in your vision (can also be indicative of blood sugar problems), and headaches (also can be a sign of sugar issues)

They say protein in your urine? I think that's right my cousin had preeclampsia. They should check for that though when u do your urine samples.
