My mother in law has 3 kids....her first she didn't smoke.(he was hardest birth and had bit of sickness for first year) ...her second (my hubby) she smoked just a few...they both weighed 9lb-8ounce....she was soo worried having the 3rd because her second was so wild :-) (he still is) that she smoked a lot and she weighed 10lb-9ounce and very healthy.

I smoked with my son up until four months and he had RSV and asthma. He also had low birth weight. Idk if it just had to do with me smoking because I did quit.

35 weeks & still haven't stopped more than likley you probably wont win that battle, but if i were you id keep my head held high & ditch the urge. this time is crucial for your babys developing lungs that should be done by 37 weeks. Your baby deserves the healthiest lungs he/she can get.

One thing I just did was write down the list of reasons I want to quit. And when I get my first ultra sound the picture is going on my back ground to remind me every time I look at my Phone. Don't know if they are going to help but as soon ad I get off work at 7am I am done smoking

Oh ya frm research I did on internet it said low birth weight, premature birth, and future breathing problems(like asthma) r some of the risk while smoking during pregnancy. I may b missing some dont remember all.

I smoked when I was pregnant with my son, but I did cut back a bit by the end of my pregnancy. He was born healthly weighing 9 lbs 3 oz! This pregnancy I quit smoking completely at 7 weeks. I just felt selfish smoking. I'm fortunate my son was born healthy. With this pregnancy I don't wana take the chance of harming the baby. Good luck, it is hard, but the little life ur carrying is worth it!
