Soaking up the sun?

So I always see these pregnant women who have a tan. Since my pregnancy will go through the summer I was wondering if it is alright to at least get a little tan outside with the sun? I know that I need to make sure I don't get overheated and should still wear some sunscreen, but is it really all that bad to soak up some sun...I feel like a lot of people do it. (:

I don't really have a good answer for that but if it is safe go for it. For me it ***** because even though I am one of the lucky ones to have the pregnancy glow and I haven't gained not even 1 lb since the moment I got pregnant I can not stand the sun, not even for a minute, I used to love the beach and being in the sun. Now I have to be in dark places no sun rays hitting me, it annoys me and now that the baby moves and I can feel it, it drives him/her nuts inside as well.

Awesome! My skin is that awkward white where my legs look discolored in places. So even a light tan would boost my self esteem since I'll also be big..lol

Yes it's safe! And if you need to tan your back, dig a hole  for your belly and cover it with a towel! I was at the beach swimming and tanning the day before I had my daughter. Gotta love the fl life!

Lol, there's no beaches here..just a backyard. You're lucky! I'll have to think of something...maybe one of those blow up pool floaty things that look like a donut and lay my belly in that..idk? Something has to work (:

I was told to get at least 20mins of sun everyday without sun block so I don't see how natural tanning would be much different. Maybe if you plan to lay out longer than 20mins maybe put on a low spf so you don't burn. Natural sunshine is the best way to get vitamin D
