Sore breasts

I gave birth to my beautiful baby girl on Friday, we tried breastfeeding but she really struggled to latch on, even with the help of three lactation consults. So, obviously, we have been bottle feeding. Now that my milk has come in my breasts are really sore and heavy.. Does anyone have any suggestions to help ease the pain? Thank you.

Buy a pump and use it after you feed your baby to get rid of the excess. :) congrats on your new baby.

Ice packs should be your best friend!! Stay away from heat steam and warm water that stimulates the milk to come...when I was engorged at the hospital they told me this

Sorry i just read again and now im reading that youre not breastfeeding at all. Pumping probably make it worse as it will stimulate your milk to keep coming, so ignore me. Lol :) x

Even if your baby doesnt latch on you can pump and still give her your breast milk. Thats what I've  been doing with my son for the past 3 months. Even if you alternate from breast milk to formula  the baby is still getting antibodies that formula doesnt have and he Vitamin D

Hun I gave birth to my daughter on Tuesday 13th at 40weeks and 2days and at first i was struggling but she latched on good but I lost or forgot how todo it lol but then I tried again before my milk fully came in i pumped and everything but when I woke up the next day my boobs omg it looked like i had a boob job and I could feel them fulling up it was uncomfortable but I was told to put a hot towel on your boobs  they will leak it helped me but try baby on your breast again put baby on the bed beside you and bring the baby to the breast and wait even if you sqeeze abit of milk on baby mouth and wait for the mouth to open wide try that i did that and my boobs ent as uncomfortable anymore and breastfeeding is the best lol some people say how am i still doing it lol but I really wanted to breastfeed my baby girl shes now a week old

If you don't want to breastfeed and just are trying to dry up your milk use cabbage leaves.
