39 weeks no dilation?

What is going on? I'm 39 weeks along, not braxton hicks, no contractions, no pressure, no effacement, not dilated at all, and the baby who is estimated at 8lbs currently hasn't dropped at all. I am very discouraged, and sad. What is.going on?

I didnt have any change until I went into labor. I went into labor the day before my due date so it doesnt really mean anything. You could go into labor tomorrow for all you know. Everyone gets too caught up on dialating and thinning before labor even if you were changing it doesnt mean labor is any closer. You can be dialated for weeks and not go into labor. Your body knows what its doing dont.get discouraged your baby will be here before you know it

you're only 39w, you still have up to 3w left, try not to stress. some women don't dilate til they're in labour
