They don't test for everything,  I was never tested for herpes. I got a staph infection on my lower back and my dermatologist asked if I had herpes I told her no because I thought they tested for every std at the beginning of pregnancy but she called my ob and they said they hadn't tested me for herpes.
So after a mental breakdown and a herpes culture it came back negative and I learned I had a staph infection.

I don't think I was tested automatically for any of it, but in order to get pregnant I had to go to the fertility doc where they tested both of us for everything, so my doctor might have seen it in my paperwork once I was pregnant and didn't bother.  Ask your doctor what you have been tested for.
