Thanks! Glad to know the pain isnt in vain :-) and I know the feeling... I get kicked in weird places too.... craziest feeling ever! And I guess its possible to be a little further along then we thought.... I couldnt remember last AF so we dated the pregnancy off of an early ultra sound.... and this is my second so i hope i am ready to go at 37-38 weeks LOL
Thanks!
Yep all the time once the baby dropped. If it's too painful and you are genuinely concerned you can always call in and talk to the nurse or someone in labor and delivery even. The great news is that at 35 weeks you have two weeks to go and you'll be considered full term! And that's assuming your dates are right...maybe you are farther along?? It's possible if the baby has dropped what you are feeling is the baby's head pushing on your cervix, and possibly even dilating or thinning you a little. Usually they check you at 36 weeks so you will find out then if it's doing anything. Also I'm sure if you are concerned about the pain your doc would check you even if they don't normally check for some reason. So it actually could be a really great thing!!! But to answer your question, yes, I had that all the time towards the end. And for me it meant gentle and gradual dilation. And I'll take all of that I can get when I'm in my last month!! :-) Good luck!!!
OH and it could also be your baby kicking or punching if it is positioned awkwardly. This is a bit tmi, but I used to get kicked in the but (from the inside) by my baby. It was so freaky! Such a weird feeling! I could see it feeling sharp if it would have been my cervix. But anyway. I would assume it's probably just the head pushing down lower and settling in. Sorry to ramble!! Good luck!
