And your gallbladder is nowhere near your uterus. So puncturing it is of no concern. Fyi.
I literally JUST had this done 2 weeks ago. Almost all of you are wrong, first of all. Surgery can be completely safe during pregnancy, if done properly. Second, if it needs to be done, that will only do it in the first or third trimester, unless ABSOLUTELY necessary during the second, because that's when it's most dangerous for the baby, and you'd have to be sent to a specialist, where you can be attached to a fetal monitor while in surgery.
If you are having severe gallbladder attacks, it needs to be done now, to avoid a rupture during delivery. If you're not, then your doctor simply wants it scheduled now (for after baby) so that it's taken care of.
I hope I answered all your questions and I'm sorry about the idiots that have no idea what they're talking about.
I don't see them doing surgery while I'm pregnant because they have to do open surgery so I have been told they will probably wait till 37 weeks (3 weeks from now) and induce me?!?
The doctors thought I had appendicitis and the midwife told me surgery, if truly needed, is safe after the second trimester but obviously they won't give you surgery unless it's necessary during pregnancy, but they can do it
i had surgery for a very large ovarian cyst at 5 weeks. the cyst was hip to hip and i have been worried about complications from it ever since. i am currently 14 weeks and 5 days and so far so good. im worried about the anatomy scan and the blood work at 20 weeks but so far im in the clear.
I have had two surgeries back to back this pregnancy for my kidney stones.
I'm in the same boat. Being induced within 2 weeks (at 37 weeks) then surgery right after.
They probably want you to schedule for after you give birth to your child usually in your 2nd trimester they can go ahead and do surgery ONLY if it TRULY is needed. But in your first and third trimester they won't because there is chances of miscarriage or deformities in the first and your uterus is to large the could puncture the uterus.
That's false, you can have surgery while pregnant, though if they can wait, generally they will.
Gallbladders can be removed laparoscopically now which is minimally invasive in comparison to open surgery.
I'd talk to the consultant and see how they intend to do it. If it would be done laparoscopically, that might be better than getting induced early, depending on how early they would induce you.
you can not have surgrey while pregnant its to much of a risk going under anastassia while pregnant. inducing you to have surgrey its normal if it needs to be done its in the best intrest for you.
