Sweep Success anyone?

I am 40 weeks today. Have had 3 sweeps, today was my 3rd one. I am 3cm dilated and 60% thinned. I want to know who all had success with it around 40 weeks or just a little sooner and went into labour. I want a natural birth. And want to give birth already! I am scheduled an induction at 41 weeks which I hope I don't go that far overdue.

Can I ask....what is a sweep and why do u get it done???? I've heard ladies talk about it before but never really knew what it was!!!

correction, most women I know who are 39 weeks or beyond get a sweep done and I only get two answers well lol.

thanks ladies! I figured I would get way more answers seeing 20% of women who go into labour are induced

My first I had a sweep then a day later had him at 39 weeks... this one ive had 3 sweeps and am 41 weeks 2 days.. hes just stubborn.

I've never had one but my sister in law has had them done with all 3 of her pregnancies..her first two kids only took one sweep and came right around there due date and her last baby took 2 sweeps and he came like ten days before due date. Good luck!
