Definately - I don't think diving or jumping in is a good idea. I was told the pressure can harm the baby, otherwise its recommended and sooooo soothing

DEFINITELY ok.   Get in that pool....also...baths are okay (provided they aren't too hot).

:)  Have fun...and thank god you will most likely be delivering when it isn't so hot out!  I had my 1st July 2...and I was in the pool up until the day before she was born!

I have never really exercised prior to pregnancy, but I want to stay as fit as possible while pregnant, so I have picked swimming as my exercise of choice.  I went for the first time today, and I have to say, it felt so good!  I was able to get exercise and the swimming was so much easier than even walking. My body felt really good in the water, I guess it is the weightlessness, I highly recommend it. My OB also said that it was a wonderful idea!

Your OB may actually even suggest water aerobics during your pregnancy especially the further along you get. It will actually also help with the water retention because of the pressure from water almost counteracts pregnancy edema, so swim away :)

Yep, swimming is AOK. it's one of the best excercises you can do during your pregnancy up about until you deliver!

stay out of hot tubs DEFINITELY for the whole first trimester.. and if you get into one after that no higher temp than *100 degrees F. and only for a few minutes. if it causes you to get flushed, then get out.. it can be too hot and can cause neurological problems with the baby. :)

i'm on my first, but am 31w... so any questions you have that I might have answers to feel free to ask!
