TTC Type 1 diabetic, so far unsucessful

Hello. My husband and I are 26 years old and we have been trying to conceive for what seems like an eternity. I feel like we've been doing everything right, but there is SO much information out there that I wanted to get your advice.
First of all, everyone talks about Egg While Cervical Mucus. Well I don't have it! Mine just don't get that clear and stretchy. Sometimes I'll get a little stretch, but I never get the super slimy crazy stretchy stuff. I've been eating carrots and drinking decaf green tea from the day AF starts until I confirm I've ovulated because I've heard that those things can help improve your cervical mucus. Also, my husband and I use preseed about 1 week before ovulation. Preseed is a lubricant that is safe for sperm and mimics good CM, so even if mine isn't top notch, the preseed should take care of it.
DH and I start BDing right after AF ends. We do it once every 2 - 3 days until about a week before my suspected ovulation and at the week mark we BD every other day until I confirm O.
I used OPK's and I chart.
I am on pre natal vitamins, I life a very healthy lifestyle....I do have type 1 diabetes but I try to always keep it under very good control. DH has even cut back on his drinking habits a lot, and now only drinks about once a week, instead of 3 or 4 days a week. I drink maybe 2 - 3 times a month, if that.
I don't know what else to do. Am I missing something? Is there something else I can do to help me get pregnant? We have been planning to start a family for a couple years, so even though we've only been trying for about 9 months, it seems like so much longer. Please help!

Thanks Joy. Yes, I have seen a doctor. They don't seem to give me much more info than I already know...and they aren't worried about it until we've been trying for a year.
I'll try the B vitamins. Sorry I was unclear, I use the preseed starting the week before suspected O date, and use it all the way through until I confirm that I O'd (temp shift)

Use the Pre-Seed during your fertile week, not the week before.

Also, try taking B12 or B6 as I hear this helps with CM (someone correct me if I'm wrong, I can't remember which B vitamin it is).

Also I have a neighbor who is diabetic and she got pregnant and carried her baby to term. I think the pregnancy was hard on her but worth it!

Have you seen your doctor at all since TTC? It'd be a great idea to set up an appointment and have their help!
