TTC but no period since giving birth

As a lot of you know I lost my son almost two months ago and my fiancé and I have been TTC. But I haven't had my period, I know you ovulate before your period so I keep having this hope that I might be pregnant, but I've taken 5 hpts and all BFNs. I wish someone could tell me what's going on ): everywhere I've read it says most people don't get a period for months if they're breastfeeding, I never got to really "breastfeed" but I did pump for a week before my son passed and since my milk has mostly dried up but not completely, if I squeeze my breast, a little comes out. Could this be causing my period not to come? I also skipped going to my post partum drs appointment, so I made an appointment for a week from now to ask all these things but it won't be with a dr, they said ill be seeing a nurse practitioner.. So should I still go?

Yes I think you should still go in And talk to her...that way you can know what to do and your blessing will come (again)...your a mother that lost her child....but your still a mother....good luck on your new one and hopefully you get your Bfp real soon!!!
