Taking A Baby To The Beach.

I'm planning on going this Monday, she's 4 months. Of course, I'm going to have her attached to my hip. I just need to put some sunscreen on her, shade her, & keep the sand out. Other than that, it's okay, right?

Haha, I'll definitely look into the baby tent. That sounds like a good idea.

They make little baby tents to keep them out of the sun and wind:) ive seen people use packnplay with a fitted sheet over top too! also, I use baby powder to rid my body of sand when we beach camp. Strip down naked and douse myself with powder. It takes the sand right off!

Oh, I see. Okay, thanks for that. I'll look into it. I didn't know sunscreen could affect their skin. I guess so, because of the chemicals & what's in it.

AFAIK babies should not have sunscreen applied before they are six months old so staying shaded at all times (whether under an umbrella, a shade tent, or full coverage UV-blocking clothing and a hat) would be important. But you should check with your pediatrician on that to make sure, as I may not be recalling that correctly from when my son was an infant.
