The heating of the breast milk and losing vitamins is a myth, as so I was told. Beside, most tanning beds have fans to where you don't get that warm/hot:) it's all personal preference

We all know it is not the best thing but don't need to be told over and over. It's all personal choice.

If your going to breast feed. You should wait until after your done. The heat could kill off all the vitamins and minerals in your breast milk that the baby needs..

Neither are cell phones, microwaves, sweet n low, and diet Dr pepper. Everything is unsafe. I was advised to wait until after my 6 week check up :)

This link is from the FDA published in January of 2015.

And this is the Melanoma Foundations warning

http://mfne.org/prevent-melanoma/dangers-of-tanning/

And another recent publication in the New York Times from January talking about young people and the dangers of tanning beds:

I was a tanner too until there was just too much data to support it anymore.  I just want to pass it on because it really is considered very unhealthy.  I think that is why tans in general have gotten so out of style.

good luck (not trying to be too bossy or anything.  I just didn't realize all of this and my doctor made it crystal clear).

I used to go and my doctor gave me information.  Here is a link from the Center of Disease Control in the US, CDC.

http://www.cdc.gov/cancer/skin/basic_info/indoor_tanning.htm

The title from this leading agency that doctors greatly respect and listen to is "Indoor tanning is not safe".

good luck

Everything is proven to be "unhealthy" I don't go anymore but I'm sure right after baby is out it would be fine.
