Tanning

I just found out I'm pregnant for the first time, I believe I'm About 6 weeks along. What are the rules about tanning while pregnant? I live in eastern Idaho and the winters are brutal. It hasn't been above 0 in a week, and I usually just do it to get a little vitamin D!

If your pregnant tanning salons will not allow you to tan I know that when my sister was pregnant a couple years ago they allowed her to get a spray tan but I believe that is it.

Watched a show on TV that a woman tanned before her wedding and knew she was pregnant and literally cooked her child. Please don't go to the tanning bed and potentially hurt your baby. No color is worth it. You can get those vitamins through your prenatal vitamins.

Theres no actual link to it causing harm but it is strongly advised against. Whether it be tanning beds or fake tan they are both advised against by drs and midwives etc.
