I wish someone could help me out, I wanted to get wic in texas, since my husband lost his job 2 weeks ago Snr I haven't been working since last august. When I went to wic, they told me we need to have a source of income. I told them that my husband had a job and now is looking for a job but they denied the process asking for proof of income. Is there any way I can get qualified for WIC because I want to make sure my baby gets all the nutrients now and later....

Wic didn't tell me that... when I signed up I didn't have a job... but maybe it's  because your married but I still don't think that's correct... what kind of insurance you have? I would call and talk to a supervisor... @waitingformybaby

Im from amarillo Tx..U dont need to show them a proof of income if u have insurance such as medicaid i would talk to a supervisor if i were u theres just people that dont wana struggle doin their job.

Smichellec....yes roughly 30 miles from where I live. Its about 18 from my office to home each way. Not bad. Glad someone else is in Katy!
