The old likelihood of pregnancy question

So here's my situation: I've been using birth control pills for five years; never been pregnant. I was away and stupidly forgot to refill my birth control prescription before leaving. I'm a Sunday starter, and got back from my trip on Monday night, so it wasn't until Tuesday that I took the pills (I took all of the missed pills). I had sex with my boyfriend Monday night. We did not use a condom, but he pulled out (for what it's worth). It has been 11 days and my breasts are somewhat sore, so I'm worried about pregnancy. Is it too soon to go to a doctor for a blood test? Or should I just wait and see if I miss my period and take a home pregnancy test? I'm trying to be patient, but I'm really nervous. Thanks!

I'm not familiar with 35.  I asked that because sometimes low dose bcp tend to make your cycles very light, even over time.  I was on Loestrin 24 for about 3 years and i began to have no period but i wasn't pregnant.  It was weird because they got lighter and shorter and eventually non-existent.  I then changed pills to be a guinea pig with other bcp's... lol

It's 35, so that's low dose, yes? Thanks for the advice.

ive never been on any type of bc pills soo i wouldnt beable to help you out there but if you are nervous it wouldnt hurt to take a test 5 days before your period or wait till you actually miss it. good luck :)

I would wait until you miss your period... but as you already know, you put yourself at risk anyway ;)  Hope it all works out for you!

I would wait until you have missed your cycle.  Are you on a low dose pill?  BTW, I've been there done that and I was just fine.  Good luck!
