I think your doctor wanted you to have enough Thyroid Hormon since your test results were at lower end of normal range. I have Thyroid problem and need to take 150mg Synthoid during my pregnancy. Synthoid is safe to take during the pregnancy. Don't worry and good luck with your pregnancy.
Hi!
Synthroid is safe during pregnancy, but honestly, it may be overkill in your case.
With thyroid values in the normal range, you have neither hyper nor hypo thyroidism, although you doctor would be treating hypothyroidism. One possibility it to recheck the levels in a few weeks (including a TSH --that tells you how hard your body is working to get your thyroid to produce hormone). If your levels are dropping, then start meds, if your levels improve, then don't. Lovenox injections are no piece of cake, so I understand your desire to avoid more medications. Also, by now, your baby's own thyroid is functioning, so you don't need to take Synthroid for the baby. You probably SHOULD have your platelets checked if you haven't already though.
Good luck!
