oh thats great....maybe it was the flu....not much docs can cept let it run its course
im glad to hear he's doing better...now you can sleep too
my son does have extremeely bad allergies, and he was labelled highly asthmatic, but when he went in all of his check up were fine, we had to back this morning to give urine sample and everything was fine but he has acted perfectly healthy today, maybe whatr he had has run its course before the docs could catch it? who knows but at least he is doing good right now!
i'm not trying to diagnose your son b/c i'm no doc but my stepdaughter went through the exact same thing your son did. her fever got up to 104!! we were scared to death that something was badly wrong. it turned out that she just has really bad sinus problems. When her sinuses start draining, it causes her ears and throat to hurt, her temp. to rise, and diarrhea. i was shocked that sinuses could cause that much trouble but there was nothing else it could be. all her other tests were negative. she is now doing 4 breathing treatments a day, taking allegra twice a day, and taking 1 cingulair tablet a day. every now and then we have to give her this prescribed cough medicine b/c she gets terrible coughs. she's doing much better. haven't had to battle fever in a while. it mainly starts kicking in when the weather changes alot from hot to cold or cold to hot without any in between. anyhow, hope your son gets to feeling much better very soon!! hopefully it's not anything serious!
yeah they checked his oxygen level and it was 96 & 98 at E.R. and at docs office it was 97, but he really only breathes bad when he's sleeping!
gosh....im so sorry you are going through this
to me it doesnt sound good...id be back at the hosp...sounds like there is something seiously wrong and the docs need to have him checked
did the doc check his oxygen level? was it above 93?
again im so sorry you are going through this...i know how frustrating docs can be sometimes
the E.R. done a chest x-ray and it came back fine but still they suggested that he had a cold. i have noticed for the last 2-3 that when he sleeps his fever goes up & his breathing either speeds up or he's waking up needing to take a breath, (like he forgets to breath or something) i haven't been able to give him a treatment all day because he cries and says it hurts???? but you know how the nebulizers are i dont see how it would hurt him??(i dont use the mask) he fell asleep on the way home from doc's around 1:50, i stopped to pay bills with my mom and he wakes up trying to take a deep breath and coughing (this was roughly 2:30), i checked on him and he just feel right back to sleep. we got home about 3:30 and i had to get him out of the car and he stayed asleep from the car to the house nad until i layed him on the couch. he woke up and said he was hot so i took his socks and pants off and turned on the fan. he went back to sleep right away and has been asleep ever since...roughly he has been asleep for 2 1/2 hours....and he hasn't been sleeping well at night, so i dont know if he is sleeping so much because he cant sleep at night or if he is just very sleepy??...oh, and he has a sty on the inside of his eye that he has had for 2 months now, but 2 months ago doc said it would be okay if it didnt get any bigger and it hasnt got bigger but i forgot to mention that it was still there after this long!! my brain is rattled!!!!!!!!!!!
im so sorry to hear all of this :(
did they do a chest xray?
i know they found my sons prob when they discovered protein in his urine....it indicated he was dehydrated and the reason he wasnt goign to the bathroom very much at all
how is your sons breathing?
how long til you get the results back?
im sorry you are going through this...i went through this once with a doc who couldnt give me answers and my son ended up in the hosp for 11 days with pnemonia...since then i vowed not to let them give me a run around...im the demander now and as soon as my son had a high fever and was holding his stomach and sleeping a lot...i knew it was bad...call it moms intuition
i hope they come back with something for you...so they can start meds and help your son get better
I'm sorry about your negative test - hope all goes well in two weeks !
Sorry to here about DS too, I'm sure Docs are doing everything they can and hope he gets better soon. xx
