I demanded one when I found out I was pregnant. If you ask the dr they'll probably give you one. I was 8 weeks but a friend of mine had one at 5weeks. She couldn't see anything but a little black hole. I could see a little worm shape, but the baby was so small they had to use an internal ultrasound (aka a wand like thing they put up your vagina that can see into your uterus better)

If you go in for one at 4 weeks, you really won't see anything. And if there were something wrong, there's no way a doctor would be able to detect it that early. I think 8 or 9 weeks is the best time to go in.

I did not believe I was pregnant when I had gone in for my physical. My boyfriend and I use condoms every time so when she said congrats your pregnant I said no and demanded a ultrasound because I had my "period" a week before. I'm 14 weeks pregnant now and I had my last one at 12 weeks

It depends on your doc usually they'll do a dating ultrasound around 8-12 weeks to confirm how far along you are and set an estimated due date
