Baby Jadyn is GROWING!!! WOO!
Sorry if this is a little OT.. I got AWESOME news at my doctors appointment and ultrasound today!! I went in not expecting anything.. I had my hospital bags in the car in case the baby dropped below 10th percentile because my doctor had been talking about induction. Well after my ultrasound I had my doctors appointment and found out that Jadyn is weighing in at an estimated 5 pounds 5 ounces!! I will take it!! at my last ultrasound he weighed 3 pounds 8 ounces a month ago.. so he has almost gained 2 pounds!!
I had my Strep B test today too.. It wasn't bad. And I got checked for the first time.. This is where I wasn't expecting anything, but Im 80% effaced, 1cm dialated, and baby is -1 Station.. so he is RIGHT above the birth canal.. My doctor seemed really surprised, I think she could actually feel his head when she was checking me..
I am so relieved that I am actually making progress! I was so worried that I would go in and NOTHING.. but it was pretty much the complete opposite! My doctor was also really happy about everything.. She told me that Jadyn looks really healthy and that "I made a genetically small baby and nothing more" so Im glad that he's just a little guy and there is nothing wrong.
I have a non stress test next week to see how he will handle everything just because he's smaller than an average baby. My doctor admitted that we pretty much dont NEED to do it, but she would rather be safe than sorry. Then the following week I have one more ultrasound to folow up on his growth. As long as he stays around the 20th percentile she wont be doing another one.

Thanks again ladies! I have been having minor cramps in my stomach and back all morning.. really glad that stuff is finally picking up. Hopefully I will see little jadyn within the next 2 weeks.. and if not I GUESS i can wait a couple more.. lol

You have to be 100% effaced to really make any progress with dialation which is why im hoping castor oil and BD'ing does the trick lol. So far so good, but not getting my hopes up. I wish my little cervix would get a move on it lol.
I only have 11 more days, so I could go at any point....talk about being excited for your own good lol.

Bts.. hopefully that castor oil does some good for you! and Im glad my little cervix is doing its job!! lol My mom told me at this point its probably more important to efface than to dialate.. because once Im fully effaced my cervix has no choice.. so Im gettin there! hoping it will be within the next 2 weeks.

YAY! I knew your little cervix could do it lol. Im so glad to hear that Jadyn is growing and getting bigger every day. I hope the rest of this pregnancy is a great journey for you, and I can't wait to see his cute chubby cheekers.

This isn't OT...it is wonderful! Thanks for sharing! We hear so many rotten things that happen to people, it is nice to see something good!

Thanks ladies!! Im SO excited!! I was completely shocked that I was already dialated and effaced! lol my eyes got huge and I blurted out "wow! I wasn't even expecting anything!"
Wow, that is great. I bet you're excited. Well congrats and can't wait to hear about your labor story.
