Wow thats crazy!! I'm just super scared because of the risks! I want to be able to do it. I'm only 19 so i just want to make the right decision!!
I had a Vbac with my second. I woke up at 6:30 the morning after my due date with a major urge to pee. My water broke as I reached the bathroom and my contractions got really strong and started coming every 3-5 minutes. Called labor and delivery at 7:00 am and they disregarded my feeling I was in labor and told me to drink some water and lay down for an hour then call them again. I ignored them and had my husband drive me to the hospital. Took half hour to get a doctor to check me which by that point I was having contractions every 1-3 minutes. I was at 8.5 cm when they checked me and I got a shot of fentanyl before being moved into a real room and getting my epidural. 30 minutes later I was fully dilated but my son was turned the wrong way so had to spend 4 hours pushing to try to turn him before his head got stuck. Since he wasn't in any destress the doctor had me stop pushing and just let my body labor on it's own for two hours while she did a c-section on a different patient. Once she came back I spent 15 minutes pushing with a little help from a vacume extractor before I ended up just coughing to get my son out. He still came out face up which is why I needed the vacume extractor and his head was a good 17 inches around so I ended up with a stage 4 tear.
