Is it possible to have a successful vaginal birth after having two c-sections?

Yes, as long as they are both low transverse incisions and the reasons for previous c-sections are not currently present (like twins, high blood pressure, etc.). The hardest part will be finding a supportive provider. The most luck women tend to have are with certified nurse midwives (have a 4 year degree plus additional midwife training) or certified professional midwives (still trained but only in midwifery). As long as you find a certified, competent, and experienced midwife and are low risk (as in no diabetes or pre-eclampsia, placenta preva, etc.) then this is a safe option. I also highly recommend going to the ICAN website (ican- online. com) for support and educational resources :) Best of luck!!
