Your doctor should give you a referral to wic and if you go down to a county office you can apply for aid food stamps insurance etc...
Wic is for women infants and children. I signed up as soon as I discovered I was pregnant. In Wisconsin I get 6 1/2 gallons of milk, 3 48 oz bottles of juice. Loaf of bread, some cereal, peanut butter, veggies and another $10 worth of fruit and veggies each month.
It is a supplemental nutrition program. They give you credit to buy certain foods. You can apply at any time. I just applied today and I'm already 38 weeks, but will keep getting it once my baby is born (for both of us).
And you just find a local wic office near you nd just sign up yourself
The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children is a federal assistance program of the Food and Nutrition Service of the United States Department of Agriculture for healthcare and nutrition of low-income pregnant women, breastfeeding women, and infants and children under the age of five.
