Waiting???

Gosh, I haven't posted in forever. I have a question for already moms. How long did you wait after birth to have sex? Next Saturday will be 5 weeks since I gave birth. It's also my husband's birthday, and I'd like to do something special for him. I've heard that you can have sex after 5 weeks, but I've also heard that I need to wait until 6 weeks. Which is it?

If you aren't sore and feel ok then go ahead, just go slow. If you haven't started birth control, I suggest wearing a condom as you are extremely fertile after giving birth.

If your doctor gave you the okay, its all up to you from here. Just start slowly and if you feel that its too painful than im sure your husband will understand, than you just gotta give yourself some more time to heal.

I went to them Wednesday. She said I was all healed up and okay, but I'm scared it'll hurt bad.

I think it is really important to wait until you have your post baby doctors appointment.  That is when a dr makes sure you're properly healed and they give you the green light.  It usually happens at 6 weeks.  See your dr before to get the go ahead.  Good luck

Honestly since it will be 5 weeks and you're comfortable with it just give him something special lol. Just take it easy if you're worried and take it from there.
