Weight Gain

Hi guys. I have just reached the 29th week of my pregnancy. I hope no one takes this the wrong way as I am happy tobe pregnant and I am aware that weight gain is inevitable I just wanted to ask a few questions. To those of you on here who have already had a child, roughly how much weight did you gain? Is it very difficult to shift after pregnancy? I have so far put on 10kgs, I was 56kg before pregnancy and Im now 66... is that normal/healthy? Any advice or experiences appreciated.

I gained 40 pounds with my first and left the hospital in my size zero jeans 4 days after.... Second one I wasn't so lucky I gained 40 again but the weight did not fall off.... I started this preg my third at 135 and I have gained 20 and I'm 25 weeks so I doubt it will fall off this time....

I gained 36 lbs with my first child who is now 3 months old.  I lost 25lbs right away and am down to my last 6 pounds to lose.  Things are not as tight as they were before so I have some work to do in the gym.  =)

I lost weight no matter how hard I tried, but managed to gain back all but two pounds of my pre pregnancy weight before i delivered. So far I've now dropped from 145 to 116 in 7 weeks. You're expected to gain 25-35 pounds if you were of a normal healthy weight. More if you're under; less if you're over. As many women will tell you, it took 9 months to gain it, so it can take 9 months to lose it again. Breastfeeding (if you do it) can also help you to drop the weight much faster and get back to normal.

With my daughter I started at 115 lbs and ended at a whopping 180 lbs!!!!  Tons of my weight was water.  I was in the hospital on bedrest for preclampsia.   After delivery, I was at least 40 lbs lighter (going home)

It took me about 2 months to loose the rest.  I did have a c-section, so I waited about 2 weeks to start.  I did try hard though.  I was dieting, breastfeeding (eating all healthy, mind you), and running my treadmill.  lots of walks & it all eventually fell off.  I was 28 years old at the time...

Now i'm 33 and unfortunately I started this time around at 125-130lbs.  oh pooh!

Well I go by lbs. BUT I gained almost 45 by delivery time. Which is ALOT. 25-30lbs is a good amount of  weight to gain. I retained ALOT of water the last couple weeks.
