I weighed 150 when I found out I was pregnant and I now weigh 182 my Dr doesn't seem to be concerned but said I should only gain 1 pound a week and I've been gaining around 2. I can't help it I'm always hungry especially at night.

Its different for everyone. I gained 15lbs with my son and I gained 2lbs with my daughter. With my son I started at 112lbs with my daughter I started at 140. I'm only 5ft 1in so I was technically considered overweight even tho I didn't look it when I got pregnant with my daughter so the doc was fine with my tiny amount of weight gain.

When I found out I was pregnant I was 197lbs and then I lost weight and now at 38 weeks I weigh 202 lbs but my doc said my weight gain doesn't really reflect the babies gain he's estimated my baby to be 8 lbs 4 Oz

it will always depend on how much u already weighed before...i was 145 at the beginning of my pregnancy and was allowrd to only gained the most 30 pounds ...i went over by 45 so far((eight days left)) and he said i should really stop and watch what i eat just cause my baby is also getting bigger and most likely be a seven pounder ...he said i should stop that im not trying to break a world record -.-"

Its different for everyone, it depends on how much you weighed before. My dr allowed me to gain up to 30, but i had a girl in my prenatal class who could only gain 5. Ive heard of cases where the dr actually didnt want the woman to gain anything. If you were at your ideal body weight then you are fine with gaining 32

Do you count weight gain from the weight you had when you found out you were pregnant or even after losing weight while pregnant and then gained?
