Weird blood clot came up my throat

So im 13 weeks prego and its been uneventful. No vomiting no spotting coughing nothing. I get home from work and lay down and I feel something like clem coming up my throat when I spit it out it was a blood clot about a half an inch long. Called my midwife she didn't have a clue went to the er and doctors and nurses were stumped did a chest xray and came back clear... does anybody have any ideas what it could have been???

Oddly I felt it makes its way slowly up my throat. I dont think it came from my nose but that's a possibility. Id prefer to think that than most alternatives. I just hope the baby is okay.

Hmmm.. In my first trimester my nose would bleed a lot. Do you think maybe it could have been something from your nose? Like a loogie (sorry can't spell) that's weird though
