Weird question..

I don't believe in superstitions, but my mother in law says that pregnant women should avoid looking at a full moon or being outside during a solar eclipse.. And to wear red and a small metal pin whenever it happens.. Anyone heard of this?

Maybe that is why my daughter has a birth defect. I just hope it doesnt happen with my twin boys now.

I have heard of it. Just yesterday there was a lunar eclipse where I live and my mom made me wear a red band around my stomach and pins on my undies. She says my brother was affected by an eclipse when she was pregnant with him because she didn't know the eclipse was.going on. I did some research and there is.no scientific proof that this is real.  I personally don't believe it's true but i'm never going against my mom's wishes of wisdom lol

Ashdub.. I've never heard of any of that lol there's a lot of odd superstitions! Just glad the majority of them are false.

Lol my cousin told me the same thing about the pin and the full moon, she would have a safety pin on her shirt across her belly button the entire time she was pregnant. it was hilarious to me lol. but no i dont think any of those things are true

Salsita my mom told me that if you talk about another woman's looks in a bad way your baby will be a butter face . Lol when I was preg with my second daughter I talked serious crap about the girl my hubby cheated on me with and my daughter still came out gorgeous. And she also made me wear a pendant and keep a bag of herbs in my pocket to keep hateful people from giving my unborn baby the evil eye! Haha! I totally did it too

I've head of it but it's totally false. I got married 4 months pregnant on a full moon when the moon was really close so it was huge and me and my new husband sat on the grass and just admired it. *sigh* memories. :)

Sure sounds silly, but apparently a lot of people believe it.. She said they baby might have some type of birth defect cuz of it.. Being pregnant is hard enough, and to add more worries :/

I heard of the whole going into labor on a full moon thing but if that's the case wed all be screwed every full moon lol. Those sound rather silly to me
