What is the Cause of Pain right under your rib cage? What the heck could that be from?

i had right rib pain as well.............. i seriously believe its just gas..... Gas causes all sorts of pain everywhere.

I know this is a little late, but I've had a kidney infection.  This is no where near a kidney infection.  With a kidney infection your puking, pain when you sit, stand, lay down, etc.  Your hunched over in so much pain, you can't even touch your back.

Depending on how far along you are, it could be the organs being pushed upwards?

it could just be gas but i have kidney problems and when i get an infection or an inflamation i feel it right under my rib cage, tho most dr. will tell you if its the kidneys you will feel it on one side and in in your back. but with me, its right under my rib cage. i wasnt trying to scare you with that. only throwing out an idea

I had that pain earlier and I was like ok.. Either I let it rip or get a rib cage taken out! LMAO!!!

I had that when I was pregnant, too!  It was on the right side under my rib cage.  My husband thought I was crazy.  I think Crysi is right - it's probably gas pain.

I don't think it's a kidney infection.  I had a kidney infection last year, and the pain was closer to my lower back area.

It's not painful its just like this tight pressure feeling right under my left rib cage. I think my body is falling apart!
