What's happening to me?

My name is Jenny and i took two at home pregnancy tests on 07-06-09. i went to the hospital on 07-09-09 because i noticed some blood when i was wiping. i went to the hospital and they told me that my HCG level was at 99 and my u/s showed a visible core in my uterus....which was a good sign. they sent me home and told me that if i had heavy bleeding or cramping that didn't appear normal to come back. Well i was fine for the first couple of hours and then i started getting cramps - i have extremely heavy periods and that's exactly what it feels like. bad cramping in the center area of my uterus and heavy bleeding now. Normally, when i menstruate i have large dark clots and almost a waterfall of blood everytime i use the restroom. This is happening right now but i am scared to go back go the doctors and have them tell me that i had a miscarriage. is it possible that i am still pregnant and the baby will be fine?

Hi!
It is always important to contact your doctor whenever you have bleeding during pregnancy.  Unfortunately, it does sound very much like a miscarriage.  The only way to find out is to have an ultrasound performed.  If you haven't passed anything that looks like tissue--this is normally greyish or whitish, and similar in consistency to an egg--it is possible that you are still pregnant and the baby will be OK.  But, you do need to be seen by your doctor!
Good luck!
