When can you take a blood test? I think I have a retarded doctor.

My last period was 11-22-11. I had sex (withdrawl method) on the 5th, went on my lower hip, tmi i know. I ovulated on the 7th. I got my blood drawn on the 15th, wouldnt 8 DPO be too early?
I took a HPT early response yesterday and this morning at it was neg.

I started my period 8 days early, it started out a light watery pink then got heavy for 2 days and got brownish, then went away. I've been peeing like a race horse and the ovulation week was very crampy and pinchy compared to most.
My periods are pretty regular for the most part.
When can I test? Is the blood test too early?

If you had your period your most likely not pregnant.

ive heard of people not getting positive pee tests or blood tests until past 5 weeks so if you take another test and it comes back neg then I'd wait a week and test again :) im going through almost the same thing, im positive im pregnant but all tests, even blood, are coming back negative... i hope you get the result you are hoping for :) fingers crossed for us both! hehe

While implantation can occur between 7-12 dpo, 8 days is fairly early to get a positive in my opinion. I personally didn't get a positive pee test till 11 dpo. I would give it a few more days and test again.
