If you have short cycles it is possible to conceive while on your period. It isn't that you conceive during your period. It is that sperm can live 5-7 days in your vagina. If you ovulate soon after your period and there's still sperm then you can become pregnant. Again it is rare but it DOES happen.

Women ovulate about 2 weeks before their period. If you're regular (you get your period around the same time every month) you'll want to have sex when you'll be ovulating for optimal chances of conceiving.

Thats really the best thing you can do. Stress from trying so hard atleast mentally can sometimes take a toll on a woman's body. Just try to relax and have "fun" making a baby with your partner. Dont turn it into a job. I tried for 5 months and when I wasnt concieving as quickly as I had before my mother in law told me to stop trying and it would happen. So I did. 5 weeks later AF was 2 days late and i tested and got my BFP. Good Luck to you.

If you have sex on your period you are clearly not ovulating so you wouldnt get pregnant. Most women that have regular cycles, ovulate about 14 days after the first day of their last period. Again this is if you have a normal cycle. Are you trying to concieve?
