unknown pregnancy

I went to my obgyn yesterday (23nd) of july for pain in my stomach, uterus and right ovary and for my periods. When he examined my stomach, everywhere he pressed was hard, and painful.. he tokd me my fundus (top of my uterus) was about 3 inches anout my belly button. I know have an ultrasound scheduled to see whats going on. Also my pregnancy tests have come up negative and ive had bleeding every month like a period. Coukd I be a few month pregnant? ?

Hi!
If you were my patient, i would advise you that if your pregnancy tests are negative, you are not pregnant.  It is possible that you have a cyst on your ovary or fibroids in your uterus that are making your pelvic exam abnormal. The ultrasound is going to tell you the answer.
Good luck!

PS--if you are somehow pregnant, the ultrasound will detect that too!

I find it strange if he didnt listen with a dopplar. Yes you could be several months pregnant by virtue of your fundal height. Your uterus doesnt normally reach your belly button (i am assuming your typo meant either around or above your belly button) unless it is enlarged... and typically they dont measure fundal height unless you are pregnant. You should go back and ask them to explain what they said and what it means.

Probably not if your test was negative and you've had your period every month
