Will I have to be induced into giving birth early.

I am currently 36 weeks pregnant and I am 21 years old. I went in for a regular check-up to see my OB and my blood pressure was high and they found protein in my urine. They sent me to the hospital to get checked for Pre-Eclampsia and the results when they tested my blood and urine came back negative as of today. I am already dilated 1 3/4th cm. my OB said about a possible delivery sometime next week or the week after. I was wondering if  that would still be the case even though the tests results came back negative today.

I was 1 cm dilated for a month!  I also had high blood pressure.  However, it stayed stable and I gave birth to my first child at 10 days past my due date. If this is your first child, they will do everything they can to not induce you as there is a greater chance of c section with first pregnancy inductions (for whatever reason).  I begged.  LOL  Doc said no.  But do monitor your blood pressure.  You start to have weekly visits at this point and they will certainly be checking then and checking your urine for protein.  They DID induce my second baby at 39 weeks so this is mainly a first pregnancy issue. good luck and hope you are still feeling okay in the pregnancy.  It's hard at this point but you are almost to the finish line!
