with my first son i bounced on a yoga ball, walked around the park, had sex often, and tried nipple stimulation. i don't know if it got labor to start cause i tried from 37-39 weeks until i had my c-section. i figured baby will come when baby is ready!

From what I read and from personal expierence with my son, nipple stimulation is one of the only proven things to actually help jumpstart labor. This is because when you stimulate your nipples it releases the hormone oxytocin which is actually what starts your labor contractions... same goes for milking cows, lol. They stimulate the uters until the milk comes out and the uterus contracts.

Honestly i did some just for fun. Why not right? But the only thing that got me into labor was walking. For 3 days straight.. For like 5 hours everyday. (I went to the mall and walked in everystore)

All those "old wives tales" are nothing but coincidence when they "work".
