Yeast infection

I'm on my 4th yeast infection and im 19 weeks. Not sure what's causing so many but could this harm the baby? I'm using monistat. I know monistat won't hurt the baby but will frequent yeast infection cause anything???

My doctor has an ongoing prescription for me so whenever I start to feel it I just go get it filled. I'm expecting to get them often just like my mom did.

Ask for the fluconazole tablet from your doctor. It'll treat your yeast infection better and faster than Monistat and is far more convenient since it's a single pill you only have to take once.

Honestly, yeast isn't the only thing that can cause the same symptoms of a yeast infection, so I'd go to your ob and request a culture to make sure you're not working with a bacterial infection or anything more sinister...

Are you consuming more than 40 grams of sugar a day? I was getting them all the time too and realized I had what was called candida ablicans overgrowth which causes many other symptoms, including fatigue, constipation, depression, and so much more! Yeast overgrowth is in the same category as parasites. Stay away from sugar, and refined carbs that may turn into sugars. I use probiotics daily and drink organic apple cider vinager to keep my gut flora in line. Good luck!

Yeah its normal to have them. Try getting a prescription cream from the doctor. It helped me last time I had one. Also don't wash with any soap down there. All you need is warm water and try to only wear cotton underwear and loose fitting pants. If you shave down there use a shaving gel meant for that. Thats the things my obgyn told me and to also shower after sex
