Zoloft and Pregnancy

I had been on Zoloft for the past 5 months and before that Paxil (the lowest dosages for both).  When I found out I was pregnant I stopped taking Zoloft but the depression and anxiety has returned.  I would like to go back on Zoloft but am concerned if, because I quit "cold turkey", it's okay to do so.  Should I ease back into it, or can I continue to take it as I had been?  I've tried contacting my doctor but have not received a response.  If possible, I'd like to go back on it ASAP.

I have contacted my doctor.  She hasn't called back.  I'm afraid she won't call back and I'll have to go another day feeling like this.

I have to agree with the above poster. I took zoloft while pregnant with my DD and shes fine. You either need to contact ur doc or a different one.

I took Zoloft throughout my entire pregnancy.  My dosage was 75mg.  Zoloft is the most widely used medication of this type used in pregnancy and breastfeeding.  I am not going to tell you to start up without talking to a Dr, but I am telling you is that most Dr's agree that it is safe for use in pregnancy.  Good luck!!!

I should note that I was on Paxil for roughly 4.5 years.
